In
2000, Rhapsody Street was the first studio in the
Southwest to offer an uncensored, moderated forum
for musicians to connect with each other. If the sheer
number of postings were any measure of success, the
board was a smash hit before it was shut down in November
of 2002.
The
board was never supposed to get that big, and was
a threaded mess. Spammers and bots started to use
the board to promote illicit materials, and harvest
e-mail addresses. The idea was a great one, though!
Now we announce a fully matured forum section with
multiple moderators, private accounts, and protections
from e-mail harvesting bots. Musicians can once again
connect, and we will create forums based on what our
posters want to talk about. We can answer questions,
people can learn, and Rhapsody can do it's part to
promote live music in South Texas.
The
board is a rather complex system that requires a substantial
technical degree of difficulty to install, we plan
to have it running by the second week in June. We
are accepting ideas for forum topics, just drop us
a line themusicboard@rhapsodystreet.com
and let us know your idea! See you in the boards in
June!
